Chuck Ellis welcomes Nathan Mihalik, a stay-at-home dad of three young boys from Leeds who is running for the MSAD 52 school board. Nathan shares his 14 years in leadership at Hannaford and his family’s choice for him to step away so his wife could become a nurse practitioner.
His platform, Lasting Legacy, focuses on student preparedness: getting back to reading, writing, math, science and history, reviving trades and vocational programs, bringing back shop class and home ec, and reviewing the district’s $37 million budget to make sure dollars reach teachers and students.
